JUANITA LAWERENCE
HEAD CHEF
Native Washingtonian, founder and CEO, Juanita Lawrence – developed a passion for cooking at a young age. She often stood beside her grandmother, Nannie, in the kitchen and learned from her. She also was taught by her grandfather Joe how to make his famous bake Mac N Cheese. Using fresh ingredients and mixing different spice combinations to create unique dishes, family and friends solicited her to prepare meals for them. After many years of contemplating working various positions in both the private and federal sectors, and wanting to pursue her passion – Juanita began selling dinners out of her home in 2012. In 2016, “Juanita’s Fancy Pans Catering” was birthed.
MI’CHELLE’ TURNER
SECOND CHEF
Born and Raised in Houston, TX, Mi’chelle came to DC in 2008. She began prepping food and meals for Juanita in 2012, and from this point her passion for cooking food was born. She makes delightful soul food and seafood dishes, but specializes in creating and making all types of desserts that are delicious. Her homemade waffles and sauce are finger licking good and makes you eat breakfast for lunch and dinner. Mi’chelle’ started selling dinners from her home in 2018 and has since been partnering with Juanita, catering and delivering mouthwatering dishes throughout the DMV.
Since opening, Juanita’s Fancy Pans Catering has cultivated and fostered relationships with past employers, various corporations and small local businesses to become their premiere caterer.
